Adventure Day FAQs
Will I have to hire equipment?
All of the technical and safety equipment is included in the group prices. This includes wetsuits and/ or waterproofs when doing water activities.
Can I choose the
activities?
Your activities will be set by the instructor following the guidance of your groups age and ability. We aim to include one wet activity and at least two land activities. On the day of your visit, we will work with you and include more activities if there is time.

Should I bring a packed lunch?
Yes! We do not provide lunch on the adventure day courses so it is crucial that you bring a packed lunch.
Does an adult have to be present during the course?
No! However, we will need at least two emergency contact details. If you would like to stay for memories and photos, that is completely fine with us.
Where can I leave personal belongings?
We are able to provide a box for any personal or valuable belongings, which will be held in our lockable office.
Is there a private area for our lunch break?
Of course, during your lunch break we aim to have you eating in our woodland tipi or farmhouse barn.
How do I book?
You can book online or send us an inquiry through using the portal found at the bottom of the Outdoor Adventure Day page.
Where can I park my car?
We have a large private car park where you can pick up and drop off your kids along with free parking during your stay.
What is the youngest you can take?
There is no minimum or maximum age, on the booking form we ask for the rough age of the participants and any medical information. From this we can design the activity day to suit all.
Can I book on the day?
Unfortunately, we do not take walk in bookings.
Peat Rigg is a private residential centre, which means that unless you have an online booking with us, you will not be allowed onto the site.
What will my group need to bring?
In our Adventure Day download page, you will be able to find the kit list with all the relevant equipment you will need to bring.
Can I book for any date?
We only have a selection of dates available (visible on the booking calendar). However, if you have a specific date in mind and we have availability, we will book you in.
